Monetize your passion.

Your translations do more than just drive revenue for the original creators—you also earn a share of every sale. Plus, enjoy exclusive translator-only perks, including special coupons and points you can use to purchase more titles.
Please refer to the revenue-sharing model below.

Revenue share rates are determined by the original creators, with three available tiers: 20%, 50%, or 80%. Translator Earnings = Net Profit × Revenue Share %

* Profit = Retail Price − Transaction Fees. * Actual retail price may vary due to discounts, promotions, and exchange rate fluctuations.

You can also choose to waive your rewards to support the author. By doing so, you help their work reach more countries while ensuring 100% of the profits go directly to the creator.

Japanese Language StudentBeginner Doujin Translator

Fan translation used to be something I did only for the love of it, but I eventually hit a wall of burnout. This platform changed everything—I finally feel recognized as a professional. Knowing the creator has authorized my work and that I earn a share of the profits makes all the difference. I’m not just a fan supporting a creator; I’m a student building a real-world track record. I couldn’t be happier.

Office WorkerAfter-work Translator

Day-to-day work is draining enough—honestly, continuing a project without any compensation is unsustainable. Yet, I had a deep passion for the creator's work. What sets this platform apart is that it doesn't expect fans to burn out in the name of 'love.' It offers a fair system that supports creators long-term while respecting the translator's time and effort.

Long-time Doujin FanCommitted to Ethical Content Creation

Respecting the original author is my top priority. This is the first time I’ve been able to share my translations with total peace of mind, knowing that the rights are secured and the payouts are clear. I love that I can contribute to the community without the fear of piracy or causing any harm to the artists.

Graduate StudentLanguage Practice with Tangible Returns

At first, I just wanted to practice Japanese. But finding out I could support the artists I love and actually get paid for it? That was a game-changer. Knowing there’s a real reward involved makes me want to push my quality to the next level rather than just getting the words on the page.

FreelancerPassion Doesn't Mean Working for Free

I’m tired of the pressure to provide free labor just because I’m a fan. This platform allows me to stand my ground and prove that passion and professional value can coexist. Knowing that the original author is also being supported alongside me is why I truly believe in this mission.

Corporate Slave & Doujin Otaku

Life is exhausting enough; I can’t afford to let my hobbies burn me out too. By translating the works I love on this platform, I can support authors while receiving a tangible return for my efforts. That’s what makes this passion sustainable for the long run.

Translators Unite User Agreement
Earnings on Translators Unite are based on a revenue-sharing model. Your share is determined by the percentage set by the original creator at the time of authorization, typically falling into one of three tiers: 80%, 50%, or 20% of the allocated profit.

Please note that actual earnings will fluctuate based on the distribution rate, total sales volume, and the application of any discounts or promotional campaigns.

Alternatively, you may choose to translate as a volunteer without receiving payment. In such cases, your share of the rewards will be redirected to the original creator, related organizations, or other social contribution activities.

* The base translation fee may vary in alignment with wholesale price fluctuations, including changes in the original work’s retail price, sales, or special campaigns.
Payments will be sent to the translator's bank account entered during translator registration. Payments are made when total rewards exceed 3,000 JPY.
The reward payment structure conforms to those found in the [ Circle Terms of Use ].
Circle Agreement
Residents of Taiwan can have their payments transferred to a local bank once the reward amount exceeds 3,000 JPY.

Individuals residing outside of Japan will have their payments transferred once the reward amount exceeds 30,000 JPY.
[ About payment of sales for regions outside Japan (SWIFT remittance) ]
Works translated through this service are sold through viviON Group with the prior permission of the creator. As such, the rights to the translation are transferred to viviON Group. Translators are rewarded a percentage of the translated version's sales as determined by the creator beforehand.
Translated editions are released for sale after passing through our native review team. During periods with more translations being submitted, this process may take more time.

Please be aware that, for mainstream comics, translated volumes will only be released if the previous volume is already on sale.

Example: A translator translates volume 2 of a comic. Until the translation of Volume 1 is released, Volume 2's translation will not be released.
Yes! The translation circle and translator names are visible on the product page, and you are free to promote your work on social media and other platforms. However, please note that selling or publishing works translated through Translators Unite on any other websites or platforms is strictly prohibited.
All translated editions will be reviewed by native language reviewers before release. Please understand that translations may be sent back if they are found to not be native-level.

Essentially, everything except overlapping content (different formats) should be translated. This includes variations and bonus content. Incomplete translations will not be approved for sale.

Reasons a translation can be sent back include:
・Machine translations (such as Google or DeepL)
・Text copied from an existing translation
・Plagiarism
・Incomplete translations

Manga-specific reasons:
・Rough or incomplete retouching
・Unnecessary retouching
※For mainstream comics, a higher standard of translation and retouching is expected.
※Translations of mainstream comics works that do not use the terms included in the work's Translators Unite Glossary (if applicable)

Examples of cases where translations are unnecessary::
・Logos, etc. with design elements that cannot be changed
・Sound effect text
・In the case of JPG/PNG format variations that are otherwise identical, only one version needs to be translated.
・For further details about the review process, please see [ About the Translators Unite Review Process ]. Translators Unite's Review Process
The sale price of the translated edition is the same as the original work. When the original work is discounted, the translated editions will be similarly discounted.
No. As long as your translation request has been approved and your finished work passes the final review, it can be published and sold—even if multiple people are translating the same title simultaneously.
The sales of a translated work can be suspended by the rights holder without notice. However, for doujin works, sales for the translated work will continue for a period of 90 days following the application to suspend sales (creators must agree to this term before using the service). However, any translated works found to be derivative in nature, infringing on rights, etc. will be immediately suspended from sale.
